A Trade Bridge from Çerkezköy to Romania

A delegation from the Çerkezköy Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ÇTSO), consisting of Board Members and prominent businesspeople, visited the Turkish Businessmen Association of Romania (TIAD) as part of its Romania program. The visit aimed to strengthen commercial cooperation between Turkey and Romania.

The delegation was led by Chairman Ahmet Çetin and included Vice Chairman Sinan Sifil, Board Members Ümit Süthan, Bünyamin Fırat, Ufuk Mangır, Turgay Kaya, Murat Narçın, and Evren Kahraman, along with various business representatives. They were welcomed by TIAD Chairman Ufuk Tandoğan and Vice Chairman Gürsel Öztekin.

During the meeting, the parties discussed the current trade volume between the two countries, investment opportunities, and areas for joint development. The ÇTSO delegation also met with representatives of the Romanian business community to promote a more active role for Turkish entrepreneurs in Romania and to strengthen regional business ties.

Statement from Chairman Ahmet Çetin

Following the meeting, ÇTSO Chairman Ahmet Çetin highlighted the necessity of deepening economic ties between Turkey and Romania:

“Expanding into international markets and strengthening global partnerships is vital for Çerkezköy and our regional business community. Romania is a promising market that offers significant opportunities for Turkish investors. Meetings like these contribute greatly to enhancing our business community’s global competitiveness. As ÇTSO, we will continue to support our members in expanding their trade networks.”

The delegation also thoroughly evaluated sectoral cooperation opportunities and discussed concrete steps to further develop Turkish–Romanian trade relations. Chairman Çetin emphasized that ÇTSO remains committed to helping its members take a more active role in international markets through such initiatives and will continue to support regional businesspeople in seizing commercial opportunities in Romania.
